Introduction of Indian System of Medical Science
Indian system of medical Science is one of the most ancient medical sciences. This system originated from ancient Dravidian's periods. During this period lots of researche has been done in the medical field and this theory is based on the principles of human body (Body Three Doshas) and panchamahabhoota (Five Elements).

Yoga & Meditation:

The father of yoga is pathanjali rishi. Yoga is the universal power that reunites the human with the supreme power around us. Practicing yoga brings a person to their natural form of living by introducing a changes in the individual's life style that helps a person to live long life without disease. Meditation is very important to human beings to bring a peaceful life. Meditation is the supernatural power where the mind, body and soul are unite with peace and calm. Naturopathy Treatment:


Natural healing is one of the ancient Indian system of medical science and the treatments are beneficial even in chronic conditions that which has been designed by sages and rishi's. This system helps the body to bring in the natural way of living. The treatments like

Diet Therapy:

Diet therapy is one of the most important part of our day to day life that supplies necessary nutrients and also helps in functions of different part of our body. Fasting also helps to increase the vitality by removing the morbid matters away from the body, so planning our diet according to our body need is very essential in our daily life.



Acupuncture & Acupressure:

Acupuncture is the modern method of healing the body by using acupuncture needles and acupressure is healed by applying pressure by hand to the specific vital points on our body. These have same effects and brings vitality to our body by stimulating the nerves, muscles, and internal organs.



Traditional Siddha Marma Treatment:


Siddha is one of the oldest Indian system of medicine. Guru Agasthier is the father of Siddha. The medical theory is anda - pinda principle which means five elements and body respectively. This system of science is very effective in curing and promoting the body to healthy conditions.























Ayurvedic Treatment and Panchakarma:


Ayurveda is an oldest Indian system of medicine that is based on the body tridhosa and panchamahabhoota. Dhanwantri is the God of Ayurveda which means life and knowledge respectively that helps and promotes the health to the body. The treatments are given even in the chronic disease to cure by the way of healing and herbal medicines.

Panchakarma is derived from the treatment of Ayurveda. The treatment is based on five type of cleansing in our body, mainly to remove the toxin and promote the health. These are the five way of treatments that helps to rejuvenate the body.



PRIME TREATMENTS:



AYURVEDA

Abhyangam – Body Massage:

This massage is done all over the body with medicated herbal oil in which different strokes are given. Very useful for relaxing the muscles, relieving stress and to improve blood circulation, joint pain, etc.

There are four types of massage.

Normal Massage: 45 minutes per day. Application of medicated oil all over the body below neck, front and back of the body.

Classic Massage: This is different from the normal massage, having different strokes and positions and it will take 1 Hour and 15 Minutes duration which include head massage, seven position massage for body and feet.

World Classic Massage: This is different from the normal massage,its similar to classical massage having different strokes and positions and it will take 1 Hour and 30 Minutes duration and also First rejuvenation ana relaxation.

Kalari Massage: It is a Special massage which involves medicated oil treatment with hand and foot strokes in different positions standing, sitting and lying. Duration 1 ½ Hrs. These massages are suitable for rejuvenation of the body, improvement of blood circulation, sprain and pains, age-old defects of the body, etc.





KIZHI:

This is Swedana treatment of different types such as Ela Kizhi, Manal Kizhi, Njavara Kizhi, Mamsa Kizhi, Podikizhi, Navadhanya Kizhi, Naranga Kizhi, etc. It takes 45 minutes to 1 Hr. 15 minute duration for each kizhi which may prolong for 7 days to 15 days depending upon the condition of the body.

It is for purifying by bringing out the toxin content of the body. Very useful for mascular and joint pain, Nervous disorders and obesity, paralysis, Rheumatic pains, etc.



DHARA: Thakra Dhara and Thyla Dhara.




In this process Herbal oils, Milk, Butter Milk, etc are poured on the forehead in special method for 45 minutes daily for a period of 7 days to 21 days. The treatment is mainly for insomnia, mental diseases, skin diseases, paralysis, spinal problems and to improve memory power, etc.




SIROVASTI:

In this process medicated herbal oil is retained on the scalp with the help of a large cup fitted over the head for 15 to 60 minutes. Duration is for 7 days depending upon the condition of the patient.

KADI VASTI:

The treatment involves pouring of hot medicated oil which will be retained over the lower back with the help of a wheat flour forte attached to the back of the body for 30 to 45 minutes. Duration is 7 days to 14 days. Suitable for all vertibra disorders.

PIZHICHIL:

Lukewarm herbal oil is poured all over the body in a rhythmic way for about 60 to 90 minutes and the process may continue for 7 days to 21 days. Very useful for rheumatic problems, paralysis, sexual weaknesses, and certain muscular disorders.

UDWARTHANAM:

A typical massage with herbal medicines for 30 minutes per day for a period of 14 to 28 days. Suitable for paralysis, obesity and rheumatic ailments.

KARNAPOORANAM:

It is a cleaning process in which fumes are applied to the ears for a 5 to 10 minutes per day.

NETRA THARPANAM:

This is a cleaning process for problem for the eyes, preventing cataract, strengthening optic nerves and giving cooling effect.

PICHU: Certain herbal oil is soaked in a cloth pad placed to the affected portions of the body, forehead, etc.

LEPANAM: Special herbals are made into a paste and applied on body parts wherever required for 20 to 90 minutes.









PANCHAKARMA




There are five phases of treatment consisting of primary cleansing processes called Vamanam, Virechanam, Vasti, Nasyam and Rakta mosham.

Vamanam: Induced and controlled vomiting with the help of proper medicines.

Virechanam: It is a process of purgation with the help of proper medicines.

Vasti: Involves administering medicines as enema.

Nasyam: Administered through the nose for the removal of Nasal defects. Medicines are induced through the nasal passages.

Before starting the five phases of treatment, takes care for 15 to 41 days of preparatory processes called Upakarma which are arrived at the time of consultancy.

Rakta Mosham: Done with venesection or using leeches.

Traditional Marma Kalari Massage and Kalari Chikilse:

Kalari massage is one of the most famous traditional therapy now a days in Kerala. Medicated oil is applied to the body and the massage is done with the help of hands and legs that is very powerful and rejuvenating and relaxing type of massage.
